My heart, my hero, my husband…

I get to document “love” quite often.  It’s the best part of my job, being able to capture moments as they occur.  At almost every wedding, I cry tears of joy for those who are getting married.  I know what a blessing a marriage can be and I always feel grateful for the gift of being a wife to such a wonderful husband.  Yesterday was my husband’s birthday and I just want to say “Thank You” to God for bringing us together.

I do not deserve such a gift.  When I read verses like Proverbs 31:10-31, about the kind of wife God wants me to be and the kind of wife I actually am…I have to say, I’m failing miserably.  It’s so easy to get caught up in “life” & “work”, that I forget about what’s REALLY important.  We are called as Christians to bring honor and glory to God in everything we do.  So, I’m wondering how my dirty laundry, the dishes in the sink, and the toys on the floor are bringing honor and glory to God?  How am I being a helper to my husband?  And what do my kids think is most important in my life?  Hmmm…hard questions.  I don’t like spritual spankings, but I needed one today.

Gary, thank you so much for being the husband that God has called you to be.  Thank you for putting up with me, my mood swings, and my cooking or lack there of.  Thank you for being a supportive friend and for investing in my dreams.  I pray that we will share many more birthdays together.  I Love You - Happy Birthday!

I took this picture 2 days ago at Carolyn’s 2 year old session…I’ll save that story for tomorrow :)

Much Love ~ Jennifer

Charnelle Whittemore - What a great picture of Gary and Carolyn! Two peas in a pod :) Jennifer, you have truly been blessed with a husband that adores you. His love for you is so evident. You deserve every minute of it! Believe me, I know too how it feels to have so many short comings in the "wife department"....but guess what....that is most women around the world. It is very hard to be a wife, mother, homemaker, and business woman. I think you are doing a great job. You know why? You are striving to do better....and that is ALL we can do. Try to be the best we can be at "juggling" all the tasks. Happy Birthday again....Gary. Thank you for being such a wonderful husband to my friend. In my eyes, you clearly have a jewel :) ~CharnelleJuly 7, 2009 - 8:33 am
