The Farmer’s Daughter

The farmer’s daughter is a true tale of love at first sight.  Basically…There once was a farmer who had a beautiful daughter.  He hired the help of a young man to do some work around the farm.  The beautiful daughter caught a glimpse of  this young man repairing a fence nearby her home.   She asked her dad about his new employee and her dad decided they should meet.  They met.  They fell in love. The rest is history :)

I guess fairy-tales do exist and dreams really do come true ♥

Here are a few of my favorites from Tifanie & Garrett’s engagement session (part 2)…

Baby Sophia

Baby Sophia was born right before the Holiday Rush.  We managed to fit in her newborn session, but I didn’t get a chance to blog about it.  She is just too cute to keep from you that I must “share”.  Plus her mommy is one of the sweetest people I know.  God has truly blessed me with wonderful clients.  I am so very thankful for each and every one of them.

The Davis Wedding

The next few weeks I’ll be playing “blog catch up”.  I’ll be posting some sessions from the end of 2010 that I never had a chance to blog.  So let’s get started with “The Davis Wedding” :)

Brad and Mallory became husband and wife on August 28, 2010.  They exchanged their vows on a beautiful beach in front of their family and closest friends.  The weather was warm with a few scattered showers throughout the day, but nothing could rain on their parade.  They both had a calmness about them.  A calmness that stated…this is right, she is the one, God is so good.  I truly enjoyed documenting their commitment to one another.

Here are a few of my favorites from their special day:

Mine on Mondays

I’ve decided to start something new on my blog.   I will post a picture or two of “Mine on Mondays” :)   I got this great idea from a photog friend of mine, Tessa – check out her amazing blog by clicking HERE.  I met Tessa when I attended a photography workshop in California.  We ended up sitting beside each-other during the workshop and we’ve managed to keep in touch through facebook.  She is a wonderful photographer and mother and I thank her for letting me borrow her idea:)  So what is “Mine on Mondays”?  It’s exactly how it sounds :) …I always spend so much time taking photos of others that I rarely take photos of my own.  I looked back at the end of 2010 and discovered that I’ve done a terrible job of documenting my own families lives.  So now I’ve made a commitment to myself and to you…for accountability:)…to make sure that I take at least one photo of week of my own and then post it here.  Well see how it goes:)

So here is the first edition of  “Mine on Monday”…I hope you enjoy it:

012411-1

Carolyn is the youngest in our family.  She is 3 years old and full of life and energy.  She was playing quietly last night so I decided to grab my camera and take a few pix.  She is normally a big “cheeser” for the camera but not last night.  I guess 3 year olds have moments of deep thought too :)   She had such a serious demeanor about her and really wasn’t interested in smiling for me…but that’s ok.  I love her “serious face” just as much as her smiley one :)

012411-2

She loves to pick out her own clothes.  She’s quite the fashion expert and insisted on wearing her polka dot tights with her polka dot shirt…who cares that they aren’t the same color :)   Oh and she had to wear her boots…ALL DAY!!!

012411-3

We Love Her…

Well, I hope you have enjoyed my first “Mine on Monday”….check back next week for another little peak into my life :)

Hope you have an AMAZING week!  Thank you for stopping by♥

Brittney & Michael are engaged!!!

I’m blessed.  Really, I am.  I have a job that allows me to meet the most amazing people.  People that I would most likely never get a chance to meet otherwise.  I truly have the sweetest clients and many of them have become great friends.  Which is how I feel about Brittney & Michael.  We met for the first time at their Micanopy engagement session and we instantly hit it off.  Michael is in the military and he was soon to be deployed to South Korea…which just do happens to be the place where I was born :)   My dad met my mother while he was stationed in South Korea and the rest is history ♥  Brittany and I found “things in common” as well…I mean really…who doesn’t love math?  There IS an answer to each problem…you just have to figure it out ;)   Prior to their engagement session, I had never been to downtown Micanopy.  Can I just say that I love it!  It was a perfect place for their photos, I’m so glad they chose to have them taken there.  Brittney & Michael rocked it out and were so comfortable in front of the camera.  It was a blast and I can’t wait to shoot their August wedding.

Emily

Oh to be young again:) What a wonderful experience it was getting to know Emily and her family. Genuine, Sweet, Hardworking, & Giving are just a few words that come to mind when I think about the time we spent together. I enjoyed running around town in search of great backdrops for Emily’s senior pix…but I have to say the perfect backdrop was at her home:) The light was gorgeous and the vintage red truck popped from the golden trees that lined their property. It was beautiful… and Emily was ROCKIN’ it! I could have stayed there for days taking pictures but eventually the sun went down and our time was over.

Our local Senior Class of 2011 has experienced a huge loss and has suffered from great tragedy. They lost 4 of their classmates…but I believe they have gained a closeness like no class before them. They are strong…and they will endure whatever lies ahead. Emily holds that same quite strength within her…which makes me believe that she is headed for bigger and better things:)

Baby Beckett

I’ve known Beckett’s parents for many years…over a decade I’m sure:) I’ve watched them blossom into the beautiful people they are today. You really couldn’t find a nicer couple and I’m so glad that God has blessed them with a beautiful baby boy. It meant so much to me to be able to document such a sweet time in their life. A brand new baby brings such joy and reminds me of how great God’s love really is. Their little fingers and tiny toes always make me smile and those newborn noises are priceless. Babies grow so quickly and change over night…which is why newborn photography is so important and special. I had a great time with little Beckett. Thank you, John & Kellie, for allowing me into your home to photograph your little “rockstar”. He is a bundle of joy for sure:)

Whitney

I love my job.  I love to photograph people who truly enjoy life and all it has to offer.  Maybe that’s why I love photographing high school seniors.  They are young and energetic…they have the whole world in front of them just waiting to be discovered.  Your senior year is such and exciting and memorable time in your life…it only makes sense that you would want to document every aspect of it.  As adults, we look back at our days in high school and think about all the things we would have done differently as well as the things we would never change.  I encourage seniors to bring all kinds of outfits and items that are special to them…things that help define who they are at this point in their life.  We all know that those things may fade away and become less important…but the memories will never be forgotten.  Another reason why I love my job is because of the wonderful people I get to meet.  I met Whitney’s mom through mutual friends and of course through the wonderful world of facebook :)   I was so excited when she asked me to photograph Whitney while they were in town over the Holidays.  Whitney was so much fun…a great gal with a beautiful smile and huge heart.  It was a pleasure to work with her.  And her mom was alot of fun too:)

Monthly Special for January…

So many new things happening at Jennifer Adams Photography these days and I’m super excited to share them all with YOU!  One thing that’s new for 2011 is Jennifer Adams Photography will offer  Boudoir Sessions twice a year.  I’ve had several people ask me if I held these types of sessions and now the answer is YES!!!  There are many types of Boudoir Photography.  I tend to like images that  are classy, tasteful, & timeless.  By definition,  Boudoir [ˈbuːdwɑː -dwɔː]n means:   a woman’s bedroom or private sitting room.  Therefore, a “bedroom” type atmosphere is the perfect setting for these sessions.  We are holding Boudoir Sessions on January 22nd and on February 5th…just in time for Valentine’s Day!!!  The sessions will be held in a beautiful private hotel suite.  Come on ladies…do your men really want another shirt or tie?  Do you really want them to have another video game?  That’s what I thought:)  Give him a gift that is like no other…give him the gift of YOU!

boudoir2011-1forweb
