The Loper Wedding

When Brittany contacted me about shooting her wedding, I was thrilled to say the least.  We met for lunch to discuss plans, which is when she explained her “get away” wedding idea to me.  Her plan of doing something different and sharing her wedding day with only a few close family members and friends.  She told me that she wanted to fly to the Cayman Islands for the ceremony and she wanted me to come along :)   I have to say, I was pretty much in shock for the first few weeks after the meeting.  The excitement of shooting a destination wedding was quite overwhelming and I had a bundle of mixed emotions about it.  Could I do it?  Should I do it?  Would I do it?……

I did it :) … and I’m so thankful that she asked me.  We had the best time and made many great memories.  The island was beautiful and the group of people that went could not have been any nicer.  By the end of the week, Gary and I felt like family :)   Keith and Brittany are exceptional people.  They have a love that is strong and evident to everyone around them.  When they’re together you can feel the sense of security and strength.  I know that they will withstand the test of time and together they can conquer all.  It was a true pleasure to be a part of their special day and being able to witness their two lives becoming one.

Here are a few of my favorites from their destination wedding:

I love that Brittany’s garter was made from her mother’s wedding dress…a very special detail.

I took this photo the last night we were on the Island.  I was hoping to capture an awesome sunset but there was no sun in sight.  A bad storm was just off the coast and the clouds blocked whatever rays were shining.  I didn’t get my sunset shot but I did get this little thing below…and I kinda like it :)   It has a “goodbye Island” feel to it.

Keith & Brittany had a beautiful wedding ceremony in the Cayman Islands followed by a local reception in Starke.  The reception photography was covered by the super-fabulous Matt Whytsell.  Be sure to check out his blog and view all the yummy reception details:)

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Loper!!!  I can’t thank you enough for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day.

Much Love,

Jennifer
