Early Morning Politics / by Julian Alexander

Early this morning I woke up before the sun had risen above the horizon in Athens, Georgia, and I headed over to Big City Bread Cafe for a discussion on the implications of having a conservative majority on the Supreme Court now that Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination has been confirmed.

The discussion was led by Dr. Christian Turner, an associate professor of law at the University of Georgia School of Law. Also notable was the attendance of Deborah Gonzalez, the incumbent for U.S. House District 117.

Despite the cold weather, the discussion prevailed for a long time. Read our reporter’s recap and see the leading photo by clicking on the title of this post.
